The heart in our name symbolizes the love we see from our customers and the love we have for our community.
In 2016, we changed the color of the heart from red to gold for the entire month of November to launch Hungry’s Heart of Gold, a program at both locations benefiting the Houston Food Bank. This November, we’re bringing the Heart of Gold dinner menu back to benefit the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund at the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
Last year, Mayor Sylvester Turner officially proclaimed Oct. 27 as “Hungry’s Day” in Houston commending the entire Hungry’s team for their ongoing involvement in the city with donations and community service for 40 years. So, in celebration of the second annual Hungry’s Day, our Heart of Gold dinner menu will launch on Oct. 27 and last through November.
The Heart of Gold menu is available only during dinner hours, from 5-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday from Oct. 27 to Nov. 30. We hope you will join us for dinner in November to spread the spirit of gratitude while you dine in and do some good by giving back to our amazing city.
